fast & simple fresh salsa
I started making this in 2016 when I needed salsa for a slow cooker recipe and I have made this ever since. Fast to put together but the flavors will blend the longer it is refrigerated.

Ingredients For fast & simple fresh salsa
-
1 canwhole peeled tomatoes, (20 oz / 565 g)
-
1 smonion, diced
-
1 clovegarlic, minced
-
3-4spring onions, sliced, white and green parts
-
1green chili, diced
-
juice from 1 small lime
-
1/4 tspground cumin
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
handful fresh cilantro, chopped
How To Make fast & simple fresh salsa
-
1Drain the juice from the can of tomatoes and set juice aside. Pour the tomatoes into a medium mixing bowl. This can had 4 tomatoes and a good sized glass of juice.
-
2Use a a knife and fork and chop the tomatoes up, takes all of 2 minutes, if that, the tomatoes contain some juice as well, that is the reason to drain first. Photo shows done chopping.
-
3Add the rest of ingredients and add to the bowl.
-
4Mix together. Add the tomato juice to your needed consistency. If needing a thicker salsa, use less juice. If needing this for slow cooker use, use more juice. Cover and place in the fridge for several hours to blend the flavors. Use as a dip or in recipes that call for salsa.
