I found this on Joy of Kosher blog with Jamie Geller. I didn't want to lose the recipe because I have a ton of basil this year! Plus I have a bunch of walnuts in the freezer!! PS It's much easier if you have a food processor rather than an immersion blender, but it still works!

Ingredients For walnut pesto - kosher

2 cbasil

1/2 cwalnuts, toasted

2 clovegarlic

1/2lemon, juice of

1/2 cparmesan cheese (optional)

1/4 colive oil
How To Make walnut pesto - kosher

1Add basil, walnuts, and garlic to bowl and pulse with immersion blender.

2Add lemon juice and Parmesan (if using).

3Stream in olive oil with one hand while blending with the other hand until the pesto is loose enough!
