This is a Vanilla sauce of my Mothers. Goes well with the bread pudding recipe.

Ingredients For vanilla sauce

1 cup water

1 cup sugar

1 tbs. cornstarch

2 tbs, butter or margarine

2 tsp. vanilla extract

1 pinch of salt
How To Make vanilla sauce

1Bring water to boil in small sauce pan.

2Combine sugar and cornstarch, bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.

3Remove from heat. Add butter, vanilla, salt. Stir until butter melts.
