I only made 3 big jars of Stewed tomatoes So use only 3 tablespoons of kosher salt...

Ingredients For stewed tomatoes....

  • jar
    3 large canning jars.
  • c
    10 pounds of tomatoes, celery , lots of garlic , 2 large onions.
  • salt and pepper, red pepper flakes..parsley....

How To Make stewed tomatoes....

    Add a big pot of water on the stove. Canning pot. Sterilize your jars. In a different pot and your cut up tomatoes in out on the stove on medium heat. Cook down. For about 30 minutes.

    Add celery, onions , 3 Large cloves of garlic. You can also use red or green peppers too.

    Add your spices last. Cook for another 20 minutes. When jars are sterilized pull jars out of canning pot and the .tomatoes to jars. Don't forget to sterilize the lids..... Tight n the lids on the jars. Out jars back in the canning bath for 20 minutes. Then put the jars on a clean towel. Happy canning
