Ingredients For slow cooker spaghetti sauce

1 lbground turkey (or ground beef)

1 Tbspolive oil

1 mdonion, peeled and chopped

8 ozsliced mushrooms (fresh)

1 can(14 oz) diced tomatoes, drained

1 can(6 oz) tomato paste
-
2 can(15 oz each) tomato sauce

2 clovegarlic, minced
-
1bay leaf
-
2 tspdried oregano
-
1 tspdried rosemary, crushed

1 tspdried thyme
-
1 tspsalt
-
1/2 cbasil pesto (jarred or homemade)

1/2 cdry red wine
How To Make slow cooker spaghetti sauce

1In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground turkey and drain well. Transfer to slow cooker. In same pan, add oil and saute onion and mushrooms until onions are softened and mushrooms have started to give up their liquid. Transfer to slow cooker with meat.

2Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

3Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

4Serve over your favorite cooked pasta and sprinkle with grated parmesan, if desired.
