sauce essentials: the best chicken wing sauce
This is a great sauce for your Superbowl chicken wings, and about as close to the original Buffalo, New York recipe, as you can get. It has an amazing kick, and gives your wings an unbelievable taste. One of the secrets is using dehydrated onions… they give the sauce a umami taste, and makes it awesome. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

2Chef’s Note: You can use another brand of hot sauce; however, it will not taste the same.
-
3Gather your Ingredients (mise en place).
-
4Add all the ingredients to a saucepan over medium-low heat.
-
5Whisk the ingredients, until they come to a simmer.
-
6Remove from the heat, and store in a non-reactive (glass) container, until ready for use.
-
7PLATE/PRESENT
-
8To use, reheat, and then pour over a batch of chicken wings. I do not like to drown the wings in the sauce, but just put enough on them to coat. Then, serve the additional sauce on the side. Enjoy.
