My Mom would make this at least once a week growing up. She used real tomatoes mostly... but I use cans... shhhh dont tell her!!

Ingredients For my marinara sauce

1/4 cev olive oil

2 (14oz) candiced tomatoes (i think hunts is best but use what you like)

3-4 clovegarlic chopped or sliced

1handful of parsley
-
4-5basil leaves rolled up and torn

salt & pepper to taste
How To Make my marinara sauce

1sautee garlic in oil until it starts to get golden in color (make sure not to burn)

2Add the tomatoes, parsley and basil and bring to a boil (stir often)

3Simmer for about 30 minutes to an hour (the longer the better but not necessary)
