1 cfinely diced white onions

1 tspground Himalayan pink salt, divided

3 lgcloves garlic, pressed

2 cketchup

1/2 cbrown sugar

1/3 cdark molasses

1/4 capple cider vinegar

2 Tbspyellow mustard

2 Tbspchili powder
-
1/2 Tbspfreshly ground black pepper (I always use mixed peppercorns)

1/4 tspcayenne pepper
How To Make kansas city bbq sauce

1In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.

2When it’s starts sizzling, add white onions, season with ground sea salt and cook until softened, about 5 minutes, stirring often.

3To this, add pressed garlic and quickly sauté for 1 minute.

4Add the remaining ingredients, stir to blend, increase the heat and bring the mixture to a boil.

5Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 30 minutes, stirring frequently.

6When time is up, remove from the heat and cool completely before transferring to an airtight container. Yields 3 cups.
