Ingredients For john’s teriyaki sauce

1 cwater
-
5 Tbspbrown sugar, lightly packed

1/4 csoy sauce
-
1-2 Tbsphoney
-
1 lggarlic clove, finely minced
-
1/2 tspground ginger
-
2 Tbspcornstarch
-
1/4 ccold water
How To Make john’s teriyaki sauce
-
1In a medium saucepan combine the 1 cup water, brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, garlic & ginger and set over medium heat.

2In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch with the 1/4 cup of cold water & whisk until dissolved.

3Add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan in spoonfuls until it thickens to your desired thickness. Do not evaluate thickness until the sauce comes to a simmering boil. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a little bit of water to thin it out.
