I love the taste of Teriyaki Sauce and this recipe is much better than any bottled sauce I have used. I always have some on hand to use on a variety of foods.

Ingredients For jan's teriyaki sauce

2/3 cjapanese sweet rice wine

1 csoy sauce
-
4 1/2 tsprice vinegar
-
1 tspsesame oil
-
1/3 cgranulated sugar

7 clovegarlic, minced
-
1 Tbspfresh ginger. (you may substitute 1 teaspoon ground ginger)

Dashred pepper flakes

black pepper, to taste
How To Make jan's teriyaki sauce

1Bring sweet rice wine to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 10 minutes.

2Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil and sugar. Season with garlic, ginger, pepper flakes and black pepper. Simmer an additional 5 minutes.

3Store in refrigerator in tightly sealed container.
