Usually, I serve this on a bed of spaghetti. Slight variations of this sauce make it perfect for lasagne.

Ingredients For homemade italian sauce

12 ozcan tomato paste

16 ozdiced, stewed, tomatoes

1/2 cdiced onion

1/2 cdiced bellpepper

2 Tbspoil

water

1 lblean hamburger, cooked and drained

1 tspsalt

1/4 tspred pepper (omit for lasagne)

2 Tbspbutter (omit for lasagne)

How To Make homemade italian sauce

1Allow hamburger to cook in large chunks.

2Saute onion and pepper in oil. Add hamburger and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, then turn down heat and simmer 25-30 minutes, adding 1/4 cup more water if necessary. Sauce should be thick.

3Serve on pasta (or use in lasagna.)
