I ran across this recipe. The first time I made it, my family did not believe it was homemade at first. Every time we have Chicken Alfredo Fettuchine or Shrimp Alfredo Linguinni, I make it fresh.

1 stickbutter or margerine
-
1 pkg8 oz. cream cheese, cut into 4 pieces
-
1 chalf and half
-
1/3 cparmesan cheese
-
1 Tbspgarlic powder (optional)
-
1/4 tspblack pepper
How To Make homemade alfredo sauce
-
1In a medium sauce pan, melt butter. Once butter is almost melted, add the cut pieces of cream cheese. Using a wooden spoon, stir until butter and cream cheese are well mixed.

2Add the Half and Half, Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Sprinkle pepper on top. Stir again until well mixed. Once the sauce is well mixed and sauce-like, turn off heat and set aside so it can thicken up. Stir prior to serving.

3When you get the desired thick consistency, the sauce is done. Pour over your favorite pasta. Note: Serve breadsticks so you can dip.
