So glad I found a way to have fettuccine alfredo without any of the "mystery" ingredients sometimes included in jarred sauces. It doesn't get easier than this! And, it's delicious!

Ingredients For homemade alfredo sauce

1 stickbutter

1 pkgcream cheese

1 chalf and half
-
1/3 cparmesan cheese

2 clovegarlic (optional)

pepper, to taste
How To Make homemade alfredo sauce

1Melt butter in a medium saucepan.

2Once butter is almost melted, add the cream cheese. (It will melt faster if you cut it up into chunks first.)

3After butter and cream cheese have melted together, add the half & half, and stir.

4Add parmesan, and any other optional ingredients (like garlic, pepper, etc.)

5Turn heat to low, and whisk until smooth. It will thicken up as you stir. Serve and enjoy! (I added broccoli to mine before serving, as seen in my pic. You could also throw in cooked chicken?)
