Ingredients For harissa sauce

2 cdried arbol chilies

3 clovegarlic, minced

1 1/2 Tbsphoney

1 tspcaraway seeds, ground

2 tspcumin

3 Tbspolive oil

1/2lemon, juice of

kosher salt, to taste
How To Make harissa sauce

1Simmer the chilies until soft in water to cover - about 10 minutes. Drain the chilies.

2Slice each chili down the center and wash in water to remove the seeds.

3Mince chilies with a knife until they resemble a thick paste.

4Mix all ingredients together, adding more oil, lemon juice or honey to get to a sauce-like consistency if necessary.
