This comes from my great-grandmother's kitchen from Florence Posey, this is wonderful over so many things apple pie, crip, bread pudding, I love it with vanilla ice cream too.

white sugar
2 Tbsp

flour or cornstarch
1/2 tsp

cinnamon or nutmeg ( i prefer the nutmeg )
1/2 tsp

salt
1 3/4 c

water
1 Tbsp

butter
1 Tbsp

apple cider vinegar

How To Make hard sauce

Simmer all ingredients together until thick serve hot or warm.
