Ingredients For creole sauce

2onions, chopped

2 mdgreen bell peppers, chopped

1 cfresh mushrooms, sliced

2 clovegarlic, minced

2 Tbspbutter, melted

1 Tbspvegetable oil

16 ozcanned tomato sauce

1 Tbspdried whole basil

1 Tbspsugar
-
1 lgbay leaf
-
1/4 tspground thyme
-
1/4-1/2 tspsalt

1 dashhot sauce
How To Make creole sauce

1Saute the chopped onion, green pepper, sliced mushrooms, and garlic in butter and oil in a large skillet for 3 to 5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.

2Add the tomato sauce and remaining ingredients. Bring the mixture to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes.

3Remove and discard the bay leaf. Serve sauce with omelets or scrambled eggs. (Or dish of your choice!)
