Ingredients For cranberry simple syrup

  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    cranberries (fresh or frozen)

How To Make cranberry simple syrup

    In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, bring the ingredients to a soft boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

    Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer gently for 15 minutes.

    Pour the mixture into a sieve sitting over a large measuring cup and press the fruits with the back of a wooden spoon to extract as much liquid as possible; discard the pulp.

    Transfer to a glass jar and let it cool completely before storing it in the fridge. Yields 2/3 cup.
