Blue Ribbon Recipe

This sauce is going to be at my summer cookouts. It's fabulous on hot dogs! The onions and pimentos, along with the ground beef, give the sauce great texture. It's easy, full of flavor and so much better than the stuff you buy in a can. So good!

Ingredients For coney island sauce

  • 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1
    small yellow onion, chopped fine
  • 1
    clove garlic
  • 1 28oz. can
    tomato sauce
  • 3 Tbsp
    pimentos, minced
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    Worchestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    Accent
  • 6 Tbsp
    water

How To Make coney island sauce

  • 1
    Brown beef slowly, breaking it up with a fork very fine.

    Add other ingrdients, simmer 20 min.

    Spoon over hotdogs in bun.
