1 ozsalami, diced

4 clovegarlic, minced

2 Tbspolive oil

28 ozcan plum tomatoes (reserve the juice)

6basil leaves

1 pinchsugar

1 pinchsalt

1 pinchpepper
-
3/4 cwater
-
12 ozfusilli, cooked
-
parmesan cheese, grated (for topping)
How To Make chunky tomato sauce

1Cook the salami and garlic cloves in a skillet with the olive oil over medium heat, 1 minute. Drain the plum tomatoes; crush into the skillet and cook 5 minutes.

2Add the tomato juice, the basil leaves, sugar, salt and pepper; cook 5 minutes. Stir in the water and simmer until thick.

3Toss with the cooked fusilli. Top with grated parmesan cheese and basil. Enjoy!
