3 csoy sauce

3 cbrown sugar

1 1/4 cwater divided

1 cshaoxing wine or dry sherry

1/2 cgochujang sauce

1/2 choney
-
1/3 crice vinegar

1/4 cminced garlic

1/4 cgrated ginger

4green onions minced
-
1ripe pear peeled and cored and grated on box grater

1 tspkorean chili pepper powder or red pepper flakes

3 Tbspclear jel canning starch
How To Make canned korean bbq sauce

1Mix the clear gel with 1/4 cup of water and set aside. In a large stock pot. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes. Add the clear gel while whisking to thicken the BBQ sauce.

2Place in jars and place in a water bath for 15 minutes. Makes about 4 pints
