If I am making something other than Theresa's BBQ Ribs (yes, in JAP), I tend to make this sauce instead. While both are good, Theresa's ribs sit on top of the onions while cooking, so I need not add onions. This sauce is fantastic, lasts a long time if stored in the fridge, and gives me the homemade taste reminiscent of Theresa's ribs!

Ingredients For bbq sauce, megan's

  • 1 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/3 c
    oil
  • 4 tsp
    salt
  • 3 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 3 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 1 c
    water
  • 3/4 c
    vinegar
  • 2
    drops hot pepper sauce
  • 3 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 2 clove
    minced garlic

How To Make bbq sauce, megan's

  • 1
    Saute onion in oil until soft. Add remaining ingredients, cook 15 min. Keeps indefinitely in fridge.
