Delicious. Easy. An excellent sauce that is quick and easy to make. Use a good quality root beer if you can get it. Wonderfull over chicken or ribs.

Ingredients For root beer barbecue sauce

1 canroot beer

1 cketchup

1/4 cfresh lemon juice

1/4 corange juice

3 Tbspworcestershire sauce

1 1/2 Tbsp(packed) dark brown sugar

1 Tbspmild-flavored (light) molasses

1 tspliquid smoke*

1/2 tspgrated lemon peel

1/2 tspground ginger

1/2 tspgarlic powder

1/2 tsponion powder
How To Make root beer barbecue sauce

1Combine all ingredients in heavy medium saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until reduced to 1 1/2 cups, about 20 minutes. Season sauce to taste with salt and pepper. Cool slightly. Transfer to bowl. Cover and refrigerate. (Can be made 2 weeks ahead; keep refrigerated.)
