This is a simple marinade, but very delicious, passed down to me from my Grandmother, Lucy. It is my very favorite marinade for steak. Her original recipe calls for Bourbon; I usually use whiskey. I'm not sure if there is a difference, really.

Ingredients For lucy's steak marinade

1 cbourbon or whiskey

1/2 cvegetable oil

1/4 csoy sauce

4-5 clovegarlic, minced

2-3 Tbspginger root, peeled and minced or grated
How To Make lucy's steak marinade

1Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk together. Place your meat in a ziploc bag or other container and cover with marinade. Leave in the refrigerator for at least two hours, better if overnight.
