This is how I make my own Vodka Sauce for pasta, chicken and burgers...you will find many ideas to use this sauce- like lasagna, and spaghetti, etc. Recipe makes about 7 1/2 cups- you can freeze any extra for later use,in freezer containers.

Ingredients For homemade vodka sauce

1 lgsweet onion, chopped

5 clovegarlic, roughly chopped

3 Tbspextra virgin olive oil

2 can28 oz. ea. of crushed tomatoes

1 1/4 cvodka, premium quality
-
2 cheavy cream
-
4 Tbspfresh basil, finely chopped

5 1/2 ozcan tomato paste
-
salt and pepper to taste
How To Make homemade vodka sauce

1Sauté onion, garlic and olive oil in a large saucepan or small kettle until translucent. Do not overcook or brown.

2Add both cans of crushed tomatoes and vodka.

3Cook 1/2 hour until alcohol has burned off.

4Add heavy cream and basil. Stir to blend ingredients.

5Add tomato paste as desired. If you want a thinner sauce, use less tomato paste. Stir to blend. Simmer 1/2 hour.Season to taste with salt and pepper.
