What started out as one of Zelda's Challenges, has turned out as one of my " Go To " BBQ Sauces... Not bad if I say so myself ! ENJOY !!!! Thanks Zelda ! :)

Ingredients For fireman bob's strawberry habanero bbq sauce my way

6 slicehicory smoked bacon - thick slice - cooked crisp and crumbled

3 Tbspbacon grease

1 cred onion - diced fine

2 lghabanero peppers - diced fine ( seeded optional ) - or to taste

1 tspcayenne pepper - or to taste

1/2 cmolasses

2 ctomatoe juice

3/4 capple cider vinegar

2 Tbsphoney
-
1/4 cwater
-
1 cbrown sugar - packed
-
2 cfresh strawberries - hulled - and chopped
How To Make fireman bob's strawberry habanero bbq sauce my way

1In a medium sauce pan, add olive oil, white onion, and habanero pepper. Cook until onions are soft and slightly caramelized, about 6 minutes. Add bacon crumbles, tomato juice, vinegar, honey, water, and brown sugar, and let reduce over low heat, stirring as mixture cooks for about 35 minutes. Stir in strawberries and remove from heat, allow mixture to cool. Add the sauce to a blender and puree until smooth.

2How to use..... Add and/or " Smear " the sauce over anything You decide to BBQ on your grill, add the " sauce " with about 3 or 4 minutes left to cook.... Watch closely and don't allow the " sauce " to burn.
