Ingredients For mixed apple jam

    golden delicious apples
  • 5 md
    granny smith apples
  • 1 c
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp
    ginger
  • 1/2 tsp
    real butter
  • 1 c
    firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 4 c
    sugar
  • 2 pkg
    ball liquid pectin

How To Make mixed apple jam

    Put butter and water and lemon juice is a pot on low warm
  • 2
    Core slice and peel the apples, and dip in a cup of 1 part lemon juice and 3 parts water, then put into food processor

    add cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and Dark brown sugar, and blend until applesauce-like consistancy
  • 4
    Add to pot, increase heat to medium, add sugar and pectin...bring to a rolling boil for 4 minutes, remove from heat
  • 5
    Ladle into prepared half pint jars, leave 1/4 head space, add lids and process for10 minutes in water bath canner Remove jars, let stand for 12 hours
