Debi McMurray, another recipe sharer inspired this dish. Thanks Debi! I made this for my boyfriend who loves biscuits and gravy. He said he couldn't tell the difference. It tasted just as good and he felt good too.

How To Make you'd never know it's not pork sausage gravy
-
1Combine sugar and spices with meatless crumbles and allow to sit for about 10 minutes.
-
2Heat a TBS of Earth Balance or oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Brown the meatless mixture until browned and then remove to a bowl.
-
3In the same skillet over medium heat add the remaining Earth Balance. Once it's melted whisk in your flour a little at a time. You may not need a full two TBSPs so keep an eye on it. Continuing to whisk until you get a nutty aroma from the flour. This shouldn't take more than a minute.
-
4Slowly whisk in 1/2 and 1/2 until you get a good gravy consistency. Salt and Pepper to taste and then add your faux sausage crumbles. Serve over your favorite biscuits. There is a great whole wheat yeast biscuit recipe that another cook shared on this site.
