My Mom used to fix this gravy a lot when my brother & I were growing up. We both learned how to make the gravy but I learned how to make buscuits as well. When we lived next to each other, my brother would come to the house with a pan of tomato gravy & wearing a big grin, & said that he would share the gravy if I would make the buscuits...lol! We enjoyed that great meal many times along with some wonderful conversations. If you love tomatoes & buscuits, I know you'll love this gravy recipe as much as me & my brother. Happy eating ya'll!!

Ingredients For tomato gravy

  • 6 slice
    bacon
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 qt
    tomatoes, canned and chopped, with liquid

How To Make tomato gravy

    In a skillet, fry the 6 strips of bacon. Set aside bacon & add flour to bacon grease to make a rue. Add pepper & tomatoes with juice. Mix well til all lumps are gone. Crumble bacon into gravy & add salt & pepper if needed. Pour gravy over hot buscuits & serve. Yum!
