tomato gravy and bisquits
(1 rating)
I love tomato gravy! This is one of those childhood southern memories that has been passed down through generations of good cooks. I loved in the mornings having tomato gravy, fried bacon, bisquits from scratch, and natuarally grits! It's even good on grits!!! My sister always tells me that I make bisquits just like mama and I do because she taught me a secret to it. I need to make this for my sister one morning soon before we go galvanting to antique shops.

How To Make tomato gravy and bisquits
-
1Fry bacon crispy. Set aside. Sprinkle flour in bacon drippings. Add tomatoes and a little water, cook on low-med heat. Add salt and pepper to taste. Let simmer until ready to serve. Depending on how thick you want your gravy; you may want to add a little more water

2Serve on homemade bisquits or you can dip (sop as we say in the South) the bisquit. I like to serve grits with this too.
