Great simple gravy

Ingredients For onion & mushroom gravy

  • 2 c
    sliced mushrooms
  • 1
    onion, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 2 c
    beef stock
  • pepper

How To Make onion & mushroom gravy

    In a pot, melt the butter, add in the onions sauté a few minutes.
  • 2
    Add in mushrooms, stir together with onions.
  • 3
    Add in the stock, reserving a table spoon to mix with cornstarch (slurry)
  • 4
    Bring to a gentle boil and gently add in the cornstarch slurry
  • 5
    Turn off heat and cover.
