    ground beef
  • 1 can
    (28 ounce) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can
    (6 ounce) tomato paste
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    basil
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 lb
    cooked thin spaghetti

How To Make chunky meat sauce for spaghetti

    In a large saucepan over medium heat, heat oil; add onion and garlic. Cook 5 minutes; add ground beef. Cook until brown; drain.

    Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar and seasonings; heat to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered 20 minutes. Serve sauce over hot cooked pasta.
