This is a homemade mix so you do not have to buy store bought gravy mixes and you can control what is in your gravy. This stores for quite a while in the refrigerator and will impress your company when you serve this..My husband always double dips this gravy. Add to soups or stews for an added flavor and to thicken. I found this recipe on the internet a long time ago and can not find it posted any more so I better get this posted so I do not lose it.

Add 3 tablespoons of this mix to 1 1/2 cups water into a pan and bring to a boil.. turn down heat and simmer for 1 to 2 minutes. Sometimes I will add a tablespoon of butter to this gravy.

I usually double this if I am making gravy with slices of beef, pork or venison because I like this for leftovers.

This makes a wonderful tasting gravy but you can add other spices or you can add a little leftover coffee or kitchen bouquet to your gravy for added color and flavor..if you want.

The best part of this mix is that I can add a tablespoon or 2 of this powder to soups or stews to thicken broth and add extra flavor.
