I got quite a bit of rhubarb from a friend plus strawberries are ready. I've made this with part sugar and part stevia to cut calories. Good on pudding, ice cream, angel food cake...

Ingredients For strawberry and rhubarb sauce

2-3 crhubarb, chopped (frozen is ok)

1 cwater

1/2 csugar

1/4 tspsalt

1-2 Tbsplemon zest (optional)

1 csliced strawberries (frozen is ok)

2 Tbspfresh lemon juice

1/4 tspcinnamon
How To Make strawberry and rhubarb sauce

1Combine rhubarb, water, sugar, salt and lemon zest (if using). Bring to a boil

2Reduce heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes or until rhubarb is soft. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.

3Stir in strawberries, lemon juice and cinnamon. Cool, then serve.
