Crockpot recipe. I have included the nutrional values. This is a recipe my sister got from a friend of hers in NY. My sister is a diabetic and loves her applesauce.

12 ccooking apples, cored, pared and thinly sliced

1/4 csugar

2 Tbspsugar substitute

1/2 tspcinnamon

1 cwater

1 Tbsplemon juice

1 tspnutmeg
How To Make spiced applesauce: diabetic friendly

1Place apples in a four quart crockpot. Combine sugar, sugar substitute,cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix with apples. Stir in lemon juice.

2cook on low for 5 to 7 hours or high for 2.5 to 3.5 hours.

3this will be a chunky sauce..You can put it through a sieve or blend it in a blender if you want it smooth. Serve hot or cold.
