Ingredients For pear relish

  • 8 lb
    pears
  • 2 lb
    sugar
  • 6 lg
    bell peppers, 3 green, 3 red
  • 1 Tbsp
    tumeric
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    mixed spices: stick cinnamon,allspice,cloves, tied in a bag
  • 6 c
    vinegar

How To Make pear relish

  • 1
    Grind peppers and drain; do not squeeze. Mix all the ingredients and put in a large pot. add the vinegar. Boil for 30 minutes. Pack in jars and seal. Delicious on purple hull peas..
