3large red apples, cut into pieces

3tart green apples, cut into pieces

5red pears, cut into pieces

1/2 cdates, chopped

1/2 capricots, chopped

1/2 cfigs, chopped

1/4 csultanas (golden raisin), chopped

1/4 ccranberries

1/2persian lime (squeeze in juice), optionally zest too

1/2 choney
-
1/2 tspallspice
-
1/2 tspginger
-
1/2 tspnutmeg

1/2 tspcloves
-
1 pinchsea salt
-
1 Tbspcinnamon
-
1 Tbspvanilla

water to cover
How To Make "mediterranean fruit" spiced applesauce

1Place all ingredients in a large, heavy bottom sauce pan with a lid.

2Bring to a boil and stir, then reduce heat to low/medium and cover.

3Cook for an hour, stirring occasionally. When most of the water has cooked away, choose whether you want chunky or smooth applesauce.

4Chunky, mash with a potato masher. Smooth, put in a food processor.

5May be served hot or chilled. Store in mason jars.
