Instant Pot applesauce in a mason jar. You can double or triple for more jars. This recipe made 1 quart and a pint of applesauce. Great for gift giving with a bow around it.

Ingredients For instant pot applesauce

8apples, Granny Smith or any large you want

1 cwater

1 tspcinnamon

1 Tbsplemon juice or 1/2 a squeezed lemon

1/2 - 1 csugar (you don't have to use sugar and go by the taste how much to add)

1 Tbspbutter, room temperature
How To Make instant pot applesauce

1Peel, core, and slice large apples. Pour water into the pot and add butter (keeps the foam down).

2Add apples to the pot and rest of ingredients. Secure lid and put dial on pressure.

3Cook for 8 minutes. Let it natural release for 10 minutes; then quick release.

4When done, put in a blender for smoother or a potato masher for chunkier applesauce.

5Pour into jars with a funnel leaving 1/2 head space. Store in refrigerator for 2 weeks.

6Can also can them in a water bath. Putting applesauce in hot jars and hot lids and screwing rings tightly. Adding them boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Remove with tongs and label. They last 1 year.
