IF YOU LIVE IN THE NORTHWEST, YOU'RE PROBABLY FAMILIAR WITH HUCKLEBERRIES ALREADY. IF NOT, YOU HAVEN'T LIVED UNTIL YOU HAVE TASTED THESE WONDERFUL BERRIES. THIS SAUCE IS SO EASY TO MAKE. PUT OVER ICE CREAM, ANGELFOOD CAKE, CHEESECAKE ETC.

Ingredients For huckleberry sauce

  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 pinch
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 2 c
    huckleberries
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    butter, room temperature

How To Make huckleberry sauce

  • 1
    PUT CORNSTARCH & SALT IN SMALL SAUCE PAN. ADD WATER + 1 CUP HUCKLEBERRIES. STIR & COOK UNTIL IT THICKENS.

    TAKE OFF HEAT AND ADD 1 CUP HUCKLEBERRIES AND BUTTER. MIX CAREFULLY AND LET COOK.
