Ingredients For gingered cranberry sauce

  • 1 bag
    12-oz bag cranberries
  • 3/4 c
    water
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    grated orange peel
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1/2 c
    pure maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp
    crystallized ginger, chopped

How To Make gingered cranberry sauce

  • 1
    Combine cranberries, 3/4 cup water, sugar, orange zest, and ground ginger in a heavy medium saucepan over medium-high heat Cook until cranberries burst, stirring frequently , about 5 minutes.

    Transfer sauce to a food processor and add maple syrup - process until almost smooth. Stir in chopped crystallized ginger.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
