Ingredients For flaming strawberries romanoff

  • 1 pinch
    ripe sweet strawberries,crushed
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    granulated sugar
  • 1 dash
    cinnamon
  • 2
    whole cloves spice
  • 1 lg
    orange
  • 1 tsp
    arrowroot starch (cornstarch)
  • 1 oz
    grand mariner
  • 1 oz
    bacardi rum
  • 1/4 c
    maraschino cherry juice
  • vanilla ice cream

How To Make flaming strawberries romanoff

  • 1
    Melt butter in a chafing dish. Add spices and sugar and mix. Add cherry juice and grated rind of orange to sauce.Simmer a few minutes. Add arrowroot and blend well. Add strawberries. Let simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until starch is cooked and sauce is thickened. Add liquor and ignite, letting it burn until all flames are gone. Ladle over ice cream.
