My Mom's recipe. 12# turkey = 1/2 recipe if stuffing in turkey.. If not in turkey, add juice.

Ingredients For stuffing, mom's

2 cchopped celery (& leaves)

1 cchopped onion

1 tspeach: thyme, sage, salt

1/2 tspground black pepper

1/4 cbutter
-
6 cbread cubes

1 Tbsppoultry seasoning

1/2 cchicken broth, wine or apple juice

1/2 c(or more) chopped apples (i.e.granny smith)

1 lbground sausage
How To Make stuffing, mom's

1Cook sausage, celery, onions & seasonings in butter 15 minutes.

2Add juice, broth or wine to bread cubes to moisten, then add cooked mixture, apples & poultry seasoning; stir thoroughly. Adjust with more juice or more bread if needed.

3Place stuffing in turkey before cooking...Bake in turkey. If not stuffing in turkey, put in casserole dish, and bake at 325 for approx. 30 minutes.
