Ingredients For sauce essentials: the ultimate tartar sauce

  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise, plain variety
  • 1 Tbsp
    chopped dill pickle, or dill relish
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh capers, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh prepared horseradish, not horseradish sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste

    Gather your Ingredients (mise en place).

    Add all the ingredients, except the salt and pepper to a non-reactive mixing bowl.
