This is a wonderful dressing on any salad served on beltane or Litha as well as a great summertime dressing and a good baste for a roasted chicken or BBQ grilled chicken or fish. Mix will keep in a jar up to 3-4 months. makes a great dressing for fruits or a salad with fruit in it, also great as a dipping sauce

Ingredients For pantry lemon italian dressing mix

1/2 cpowdered lemonade mix(or use 2 of those little *crystal light tubs)

6 Tbspsurejell(i use 1 small 1.75oz box)surejell is powdered fruit pectin

6 Tbspdried garlic powder

6 Tbspdried minced onion

2 Tbsporegano

1 Tbspseasoned salt (lawrys)

1 Tbspsalt

1 Tbspdried basil

1/2 tspblack pepper

2 tspred pepper flakes
How To Make pantry lemon italian dressing mix

1Mix the lemonade mix with the surejell and seasonings and store in a airtight jar.

2TO MAKE DRESSING; 1 Tbl boiling water 2 Tbl mix 1 cup vegetable or olive oil 1/3 cup water 1/4 cup vinegar(I use cider,but white or red wine will work too,according to your own taste) Add the 2 Tbl mix with the Tbl boiling water. Let cool.Whisk into the oil.Add the water and vinegar and mix well. I use a store bought dressing carafe.I believe it was from the company that makes Good Season italian mixes.One batch will fill these carafes.If you have one of these,you can use the measurements provided on the carafe.
