I received this wonderful recipe from a friend, after being served this in her home.
She was gracious enough to share it. While I was visiting in Florida.
About 1993.

Ingredients For homemade salad dressing .. oil and vinegar...with a secret ingredient

  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c
    red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 c
    balsamic vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp
    light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper

How To Make homemade salad dressing .. oil and vinegar...with a secret ingredient

    Stir together well.
    Pour into a jar and seal.
    Shake before using.
    Keep in refrigerator up to 1 week.

    The secret?
    Adding brown sugar will tame the tang of the wine vinegar.
    For extra flavor,use garlic flavored olive oil.
