Had a good friend bring over a bunch of fresh greens and herbs from her garden, so we are doing salads tonight. I put together a salad bar (greens, tomatoes, carrots, olives, chicken, beef, etc.), they build the salad, and then tell me what kind of dressing they want, and then I try to mix it up. Of all the combinations of ingredients I stitched together last night, I thought this one stood out. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients For dressing essentials: balsamic, dijon, vinaigrette

  • PLAN/PURCHASE
  • 3 clove
    roasted garlic
  • 1/4 c
    balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 tsp
    lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp
    dijon mustard, i prefer grey poupon
  • salt, kosher variety, to taste
  • black pepper, freshly ground, to taste

    The best way to prepare this recipe is with a small prep mixer, or blender. However, you could use a whisk… It will just take a bit more time.

    Gather your ingredients (mise en place).

    Place the ingredients into a small prep bowl, fitted with an S-blade.

    Blend until smooth, and creamy.
