I've used this recipe numerous occasions. Makes a very attractive dip that can be served at any party. I've had it requested for several parties that I've been to and for holiday gatherings with the family.

Ingredients For taco dip

  • 12 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c
    dairy sour cream
  • 2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground red pepper
  • 1/2 c
    salsa
  • 2 c
    shredded lettuce or lettuce leaves
  • 1 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c
    diced plum tomatoes
  • 1/3 c
    sliced green onions
  • 1/4 c
    sliced ripe olives
  • 1/4 c
    pimiento-stuffed green olives
  • 1 c
    shredded monterey jack cheese
  • tortilla and blue corn chips

How To Make taco dip

  • 1
    Combine cream cheese, sour cream, chili powder, cumin and red pepper in large bowl; mix until well blended.

    Stir in salsa. Spread onto 10" serving platter lined with lettuce. Top with cheeses, tomatoes, green onions and olives. Serve with chips.
