sweet chili sauce
This sauce is really easy to make yourself! I love having control of the amount of heat and knowledge of exactly what’s in it! I was making homemade egg rolls and whipped this up in just a few minutes! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Ingredients For sweet chili sauce

3/4 cwater

1/2 crice wine vinegar
-
1/2 csugar
-
4-5 clovegarlic
-
1hot & sweet chili
-
2-3 tspred pepper flakes
-
few dashcayenne pepper

1 Tbspcorn starch
-
1/4 cadditional water
How To Make sweet chili sauce

1Mince garlic and hot & sweet chili (or spicy chili of your choice) set aside

2Use the additional 1/4 cup cold water and mix with corn starch to create a smooth slurry.

3Heat water, rice vinegar, and sugar bringing mixture to a boil. Stir to dissolve sugar.

4Add minced garlic and chilies, along with red pepper flakes and cayenne.

5Reduce heat to a simmer and stir for 3-4 minutes until sauce begins to thicken.

6Stir in cornstarch and continue simmering for an additional 1-2 minutes until desired thickening is achieved.

7Remove from heat. Sauce will thicken slightly more as it cools. Add small amount of water if needed to thin it back down.

8Serve and enjoy! Refrigerate or preserve in jars if you’re making the sauce ahead of time.
