Ingredients For spinach and bacon dip

10 ozfrozen chopped spinach, thaw and well drained

8 ozcream cheese, softened

1 1/2 cmayonnaise

1 pkgdry vegetable soup mix

8 ozchopped, water chestnuts, drained

1/2 ccelery, chopped fine
-
4green onions, chopped fine
-
2/3 cbacon pieces, crumbled or dried bits

1 tspsalt
-
1 tspblack pepper, fresh ground
How To Make spinach and bacon dip

1Thaw frozen spinach and let drain well, squeeze out excess moisture. In a bowl combine the spinach, water chestnuts, celery, mayonnaise, soup mix, green onions, salt, and pepper. Mix in bacon. If desired, reserve 1/2 tablespoon of the bacon and use to garnish top of dip prior to serving. Place in a covered container and refrigerate for at least 2-4 hours before serving. This dip can be prepared a day ahead of serving.
