It's always fun to visit my sister and her family in South Carolina. Not only is there a lot to see and do, but the food is just the best. One of my new favorite snacks is pimento cheese. This is my brother-in-law's recipe. It is good with crackers or vegetables. If you are following the Keto diet, you can serve it with pork rinds.

Ingredients For pimento cheese spread

  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c
    mayonnaise
  • 2 c
    extra sharp cheddar, shredded (preferably cracker barrel)
  • 4 oz
    diced pimentos, drained
  • 2 md
    jalapeno peppers, finely diced
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    smoked paprika
  • pink himalyan salt & black pepper to taste

How To Make pimento cheese spread

  • 1
    Combine the mayonnaise, cream cheese, peppers, pimentos, and spices.

    Fold in the shredded cheese.
  • 3
    Refrigerate until ready to serve.
