Ingredients For oven baked(not fried!) buffalo wings

  • 36
    chicken wings cut in two
  • 1 pkg
    italian dressing mix
  • 1 1/2 qt
    hot sauce( i use frank's brand,if you can find it,any kind will do.)
  • 4-5 Tbsp
    roux
  • 1/2 pt
    water
  • 1/2 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt and pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder

How To Make oven baked(not fried!) buffalo wings

    Rinse and pat dry the wings,place in a large bowl and season with the spices,coat them well. Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees. Arrange the wings two inches apart and bake for 45-50 minutes.

    While the wings are baking,using a large non-stick pot or skillet,bring the roux to a simmer,add 1/2 the packet of Italian dressing mix,the hot sauce and when it begins to get really thick,thin it with the water.

    Transfer the wings to a large mixing bowl when done,pour the sauce over the wings and toss and serve hot! Choose your favorite blue cheese dip or ranch dressing,serve with celery stix,and enjoy the game!! :)
